Patricia Madaris Vice President Finance / CFO
BS Accounting/MBA. Ms. Madaris joined Liberty Star in 2011. In May 2015, she was elected by the Board of Directors to the position of Vice President, Finance. On January 13, 2019 Patricia was elected by the Board to serve in the added office of Chief Financial Officer. Since the beginning of her tenure with Liberty Star, Patricia has successfully engaged, negotiated, and closed financings; overseen the Company’s financial reporting; and projected and planned financially for ongoing operations including development. She has previously been engaged as accounting/manager for corporations in Arizona, Florida and California for over 14 years. Ms. Madaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and received a Masters Business Administration in 2017, both Summa Cum Laude from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Jim Bryce CP Chief Geologist
Jim Bryce is a Geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mining and exploration industry. He has worked on projects on five continents, both mining and exploration, aimed at many commodities including gold, silver, diamond, coal, uranium and PGE. Base metals experiences include copper, nickel, zinc, tin and tungsten. Much of his career has been spent in remote regions around the world, both in mining and exploration. His mining experiences include strip mining, alluvial, shrinkage, over and underhand cut and fill, conventional longhole as well as open stopping and sub-level cave/shrinkage.
Mr. Bryce has conducted property evaluations and fair market valuations, site inspections and safety audits. Additionally, he has run desk top studies of potential properties and managed grassroots and brownfields exploration, mapping and sampling, drilling and trenching, resource modelling and calculations through to production decision making.
His experiences have enabled him to become a reliable, solid team leader. His many strengths include gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and presenting them on a Corporate level to the top decision makers in the company and industry. Running departments and projects with limited resources has taught him how to keep costs down while keeping many balls in the air at the same time. Mr. Bryce enjoys the challenges of project management and team leadership. He excels at mentoring and training crews regardless of the nation or language spoken.
He believes very strongly in maximizing the value of a property by putting as much of the budget as possible into the ground work. Time and again, his entrepreneurial approach to project management has resulted in maximum returns for dollars invested in the work.
Jay Crawford Field Operations Manager
Mr. Crawford joined Liberty Star in 2006. He has been instrumental in all aspects of exploration for Liberty Star’s properties. In 2011 he was promoted to Field Manager and has taken the lead on acquiring and maintaining all State and Federal claims and permits. Jay is recognized by the foremost experts in the subject area as practicing the most diligent sample and data collection techniques in the industry necessary for preserving integrity of the geochemical data set. He carries out all the geochemical/biogeochemical sampling for Liberty Star and ensures that all employees receive appropriate training on the sampling methods and techniques. Jay has been invited by some of the largest and most notable copper producers in the world to teach and share his data collection techniques.
Tracy Myers Investor Relations Manage
Mrs. Myers joined Liberty Star in 2007 after working in retail management for many years. As Liberty Star’s IR rep she is the first point of contact for shareholders, media and potential investors. Additionally, she is responsible for corporate communications, social media management, and is the administrator of the Liberty Star website, LBSR.us.
